Shannen’s interest in film was born when she realised filmmaking was (more than) the sum of her childhood hobby of reading stories and her teenage hobby of photography. Her priorities at present include defining her artistic identity through her projects and exposing herself to different genres and cultures by taking opportunities to collaborate with others. Her current fascinations are discovering authenticity in Singaporean content and considering experimental or alternative ways of storytelling through the medium of film.
